  • Candy Lind (RMS) – We appreciate all of your work with social and culture/climate committees
  • Diane Conklen (RMS) – We appreciate all of your work with the social committee
  • Tracy Kitzman (RMS) – She works very hard to meet the academic, mental, and basic needs for all of her students, especially those at-risk.
  • Aaron Eddy (DHS) – Not only does he work diligently to incorporate real world applications into his lessons, but Aaron, as student council sponsor, led his students through successful activities of homecoming and raising $650 for the food pantry.
  • Courtney Gaulrapp (Jefferson) – has gone above and beyond to to organize fun weekly and quarterly incentives for PBIS that staff and students love.

Congratulations to the DEA October Teachers of the Month!

  • JoAnn Hamer (RMS) – reached out to a 4th grade class in order to build a mentoring program for 4th graders with 8th graders.
  • Kim Bork (Madison) – is a great team member, encouraging others and keeping a positive attitude while giving her students the instruction and support needed.
  • Mike Olson (DHS) – is appreciated for teaching an overload, volunteering his time for the D & D club, and working on many extra projects for DHS
  • Michelle Bally (DHS) – challenges her students and herself to tackle difficult text and concepts by developing curriculum and lessons that provide reading and critical thinking skills.
  • Jenny Brown (Washington) – organizes, coordinates and inventories the Children’s Choice books for our classroom which is greatly appreciated.
  • Sue Johnson (RMS) – has been an amazing colleague and special education teacher for a wonderful 35 years.
  • Jen Gale (Jefferson) – has supported a coworker in her transition to a new grade level.

  • Kelly Gingras (DHS)- Kelly uses her technology expertise to enhance her teaching, mentor colleagues, and prepare students for future careers.
  • Brant Peterson (Washington) – Brant prepared a district-wide PBIS folder.
  • Diane Conklen (RMS) – Diane spent her summer editing new PBIS videos for RMS.
  • Maria Peterson (Jefferson) – Maria, who was nominated twice, has gone above and beyond in assisting her new mentee.
  • Dorry Kingry (Jefferson) – Dorry has been a wonderful support in her building with many early in the year changes, filling many gaps where needed.

DEA May Teachers of the Month

Congratulations to the DEA May Teachers of the Month!

  • Entire DHS Staff  – The teachers at DHS have gone above and beyond to maintain professionalism while ensuring that students get the best education possible while having to deal with construction noises, debris, and disruptions on a daily basis.
  • Alex Schultz – RMS – Alex has been a great asset with her positive attitude and willingness to roll with the punches.
  • JoAnn Hamer – RMS – Jo-Ann was responsible for starting the process to have Reagan’s inaugural art fair this year on April 26
  • Carrie King – RMS – Carrie is always ready and willing to help, and she is a wealth of knowledge about accommodations.
